Loch Shores > Woodland Wildlife
The
unpolluted air and land here at the West Loch Shores helps
the rich habitat and many species of animal live well, breathe
well and feed well.
The
good natural soil and good ecology means that natural fertilizers
are used, no toxins or poisons are required for pest control,
the rich population of birds and other animals do this job
naturally.
The
woodland is a quiet, tranquil, often shady and sometimes sunlit
part of the West Loch Shores that is home to many different
species of wildlife including deer, fox, squirrel, badgers,
hedgehogs, rabbits and sometimes even mink.
The
sheer diversity of bird life is staggering here, with large
birds of prey including eagles seen in and around the West
Loch Shores, other birds may include kites or woodpeckers.
The
richness of fauna is also clear with mosses and wildflowers
growing in abundance in relatively untouched terrain which
you can see in their natural environments.
Depending
on the time of day you may see the odd mouse, perhaps an owl
or even some bats if you are fortunate.
The
West Loch Shores and the woodland of Kintyre is a really rich
environment with natural beauty for you to explore and learn
about. The wildlife that you can find here is astounding. |
