West Loch Fyne Beaches & Coastline

West Loch Shores has access to some fantastic beaches and coastline.

From West Loch Shores Brenfield you can travel southwards to Tarbert and walk along the working quay observing the fishermen landing their catch, or alternatively travel north and explore the coastline at Ardrishaig and Lochgilphead.

At Ardrishaig on a windy day you can watch the waves crash in at the shore which go over and onto the road, or sit on the benches at the water's edge in Ardrishaig watching the birds in the tranquility of this location.

A further 3-4 minutes driving will bring you into Lochgilphead where you can sit at the water's edge, play mini-golf on the seafront or visit some shops.

A popular choice of things to do is to walk along the Crinan Canal, its a lovely walk and it is one which is very long, you could walk the whole length but you would need a whole day to do so, in fact it might need longer. Certainly it is a pleasant walk up to Cairnbaan alongside the canal which is only a few miles.

There are a few small secluded and rarely used sandy beach spots along West Loch Shores Brenfield that you can take advantage of, but the best is their own private lodges, with their own private land, and their own private beach.
