Food & Drink
Argyll is highly regarded for it's fantastic natural produce, from beautiful lean meat, to fresh seafood.
West Loch Shores Brenfield is only a short drive from some of the Seafood Trail members such as the Cairnbaan Hotel, whilst West Loch Shores Tarbert is just a mile from the centre of Tarbert, and a selection of fantastic restaurants and hotels are but a short drive away.
For whisky lovers, Tarbert is the last village on your way to Islay, the whisky capital of Scotland. Many of the hotels and restaurants serve malts from these islands.
The beauty of West Loch Shores is the balance of fantastic food and unusual malts served at many of the local establishments and also the availability of fresh seafood and shellfish that you can buy and cook for yourself at one of the West Loch Shores recommended self-catering lodges.
Tarbert is host to one of the last remaining Seafood Festivals in Scotland celebrating the pure and unique qualities of the seafood landed here in this small fishing village.
