West Loch Shores Coastal Walks

Sandy Beaches

Kintyre and Argyll has some of the most unpopulated beaches in Europe, with beautiful blonde sandy beaches with at least 3 that stretch for over 2 or 3 miles each on the west coast of Kintyre alone.

Even on the busiest days and hottest days of the year there is plenty of room for families and the waters are shallow and clear, some of the cleanest waters in Britain.

There are also plenty of smaller beaches and one of the best beaches on the peninsula is over at Skipness on the east side of Kintyre, or further down Carradale has a wonderful sandy beach.

Pebbled Beaches

Kintyre and Argyll features some fantastic coastline, with varying geographical features including rock types, including alot of sedimentary rock and quartz.

There are also many beaches that consist of pebbles and one even consists of large flat oval stones, none of which are man made, and then there is shell beach in Tarbert, completely made from broken clam shells.

For access to some of the best coastline and beaches West Loch Shores is perfectly located to cater for all.
