West Loch Shores is the ideal base for artists, photographers, freshwater and saltwater fishermen and golfers of all standards. Walkers of all standards will also not be disappointed at the huge amount of short and long walks available in Carradale, Tarbert, Skipness and at the Mull of Kintyre.

For some of the most stunning landscapes and photogenic scenery all year round you must visit the West Loch Shores, from here you have beautiful and tranquil scenery on your doorstep which extends to the delightful islands where you can create moody and awe-inspiring photographs, drawings or paintings.

For those who love nothing better than getting up at the crack of dawn and traveling to quiet and ideal locations for a good spot of fishing then the West Loch Shores is ideal. With shallow waters on the doorstep of West Loch Shores Tarbert on a private beach area and access to some of the clearest water and freshest fish in the world you will find it hard to resist. Some hill lochs allow fishing permits to allow freshwater fishing.

For the more active individual, couple or family why not venture out to the wonderful and challenging 9 hole golf course that beckons here in Tarbert only a stones throw from the fantastic self-catering wooden lodges at West Loch Shores Tarbert. For those that are fanatical about their golf, there are other golf courses locally for you to try, such as Carradale, Southend and the world renowned Machrihanish.
